enjoying your life in China.

Keep in touch with the
important people from home.

If you're in China already and you're missing home terribly,
it's not a good idea to avoid contacting people back home. It's actually very important that you
keep in touch with friends and family so you can be up-to-date with all the happenings back home. But of
course, you shouldn't spend the entire day chatting or calling your friends and family because you also
need to spend time meeting new people and making new friends in your new place.

Write a blog or even a
diary about your experiences in China.

China is an amazing country that is just waiting to be explored. Find time to take a walk, for
example, or you can also invite other teachers at Birmy International English School to take a trip with you
to other cities in China. This will be an enjoyable experience that will take away your feeling of
homesickness.

** English
School</a> cultivates an environment for children that provides <a
href="** education </a>that is
as easy as reading ABC's and counting 123's and through learning experiences. It is a fact that
children especially under 8 years old are not at a conversational level in speaking the English language as a
mean of communication. The school hear the needs of those who wish to learn the language easily. There are
many ways though to teach English but with us ,these are the simplest way.

Smile

Children are usually
anxious during the first time of class or entering a new environment. A big sweet warm smile is the best way
to welcome a child. It helps the environment bright and light. Also, parents will feel comfortable and pleased
leaving their children to a smiling, friendly teachers. And oh, you can also add a little hug with that
smile.

Eye level

<a href="** English School
</a>believes that it is always effective to look down or be at the child's eye level. A teacher ,
especially in a close distance must squat or bend down so their eyes will meet. Looking at teacher's eyes
actually gives comfort and calmness inside the classroom. Also, wall crafts, decorations, word walls should
also be leveled to their eyes. They easily get comfortable speaking those, more over they'd be touching
the line of reading.

Speak Slowly

Adults, fluent in English, sometimes don't mind talking fast, but
with these kids, speed matters. Enunciation must be clear and as much as possible, use simple words for them
to follow easily. Speaking repetitively helps especially for speaking beginners. They'd be able to copy
your words, and directly correct when it is pronounced or said wrong.

Simple Questions

As beginners, it
is important to ask simple questions such as "What is your name?" or "What is this?" With
these, their confidence boosts. Probably at first, they tend to be hesitant in answering, it is because they
are nervous or still looking for their comfort zone with the people around and the environment. Also, praise
them or appreciate them in every answer they give. Verbal praises give more encouragement and confidence for
them to do well the next time.

Hand Gestures and Actions

Teachers are the actors of the classroom, and
children are the viewers and imitator. So why not give them something good to imitate. When initiating a
story, act, dance, sing! That's what teachers do.
